New Delhi: Globus Spirits Ltd has launched DWAAR Indian Craft Whisky – SIPAHI, the first expression in its new DWAAR whisky portfolio, combining aged Indian single malts with Scotch whisky finished in Pedro Ximénez (PX) Sherry casks. The launch strengthens the company’s luxury spirits portfolio as India’s premium whisky market continues to expand. The product will be introduced through a phased rollout across Rajasthan, Haryana, Goa, Punjab, Chandigarh and Delhi.
The DWAAR portfolio joins the company’s existing premium offerings, including DŌAAB Indian Craft Whisky and TERAI. The name DWAAR draws inspiration from India’s grand architectural gateways and historic forts, reflecting the brand’s focus on Indian heritage interpreted through contemporary whisky craftsmanship.

Shekhar Swarup, Joint Managing Director of Globus Spirits Ltd, said the new portfolio combines Indian inspiration with international cask influences. He described SIPAHI as an expression shaped by Indian craftsmanship and a modern interpretation of heritage. The whisky uses Indian six-row barley sourced from Rajasthan, while its PX Sherry casks originate from the Sherry Triangle in Andalusia, southwestern Spain.
According to the brand’s tasting notes, DWAAR SIPAHI offers an aromatic profile featuring polished oak, delicate floral notes, dried fruit, vanilla and subtle spice. On the palate, it presents woody characteristics, gentle toffee sweetness, dried fruit and warm spices, complemented by a restrained smoky undertone. The finish is described as long and balanced, with lingering oak, soft toffee and gentle spice.
