Paul John Whisky, the Indian single malt brand from John Distilleries, has unveiled a refreshed brand identity and new packaging, placing Indian craftsmanship, its Goa roots and the character of its whisky expressions at the centre of its latest visual transformation. Built around the narrative “A Journey into Indian Craft,” the new identity aims to present Paul John Whisky as a contemporary expression of Indian whisky while strengthening its connection with the places, craftsmanship and influences that have shaped the brand.
The refreshed identity draws inspiration from Goa, where the brand has established an important part of its heritage, and seeks to communicate the story behind its whisky through a redesigned packaging system. A reimagined elephant, a longstanding symbol associated with Paul John Whisky, has been incorporated into the new design as part of the brand’s updated visual language.

Commenting on the refreshed identity, Paul P John, Chairman of John Distilleries, said Paul John Whisky has always represented India’s craftsmanship, richness and ability to create distinctive spirits for consumers around the world. He said the brand’s story has evolved as it has expanded into international markets, with the new identity intended to bring that journey to life through its packaging and overall brand presentation.
According to the company, the new identity reflects the brand’s origins, the craftsmanship involved in producing its whisky and its ambition to take a modern expression of Indian single malt whisky to an increasingly global audience. While the packaging and visual identity have been redesigned, the whisky itself remains unchanged, with the liquid continuing to be at the heart of the brand.

The rebranding comes as Indian single malt whisky continues to gain international recognition and compete more strongly with established whisky-producing regions. John Distilleries is seeking to build on Paul John Whisky’s international presence through continued premiumisation and portfolio expansion over the next five years.
Paul John Whisky is currently exported to more than 44 countries, giving the brand a growing international footprint.
