Kolkata, October 2026: Amrut Distilleries is highlighting its portfolio of Indian single malt whisky, rum and gin for the festive season, as Kolkata celebrates Durga Puja and Vijaya Dashami. With traditional rituals, pandal hopping, family gatherings and festive hosting marking the occasion, the company is presenting a selection of spirits designed to appeal to different consumer preferences and celebratory occasions.
Among the featured expressions is Amrut Fusion, one of the distillery’s best-known Indian single malts. Made using Indian and Scottish barley, the whiskies are matured separately before being blended to create the final expression. Fusion is recognised for its combination of fruity notes, spice, vanilla, chocolate and gentle peat, offering a distinctive profile shaped by its ingredients and maturation process.
Another offering is Amrut Amalgam, which brings together selected malt whiskies to create a balanced and approachable expression. Its flavour profile features notes of honey, ripe fruit, subtle spice and toasted oak, providing an alternative for consumers seeking a rounded whisky with layered flavours.
