Sir Orrick’s Irish Whiskey, a premium triple-distilled Irish whiskey, has officially entered the Indian market through Mehra Wines Pvt. Ltd. (MWPL). Crafted in Ireland, the whiskey combines traditional Irish distilling techniques with carefully selected barrel maturation and finishing in bourbon and sherry casks. The India launch marks a new addition to the country’s growing premium imported whiskey segment, as consumers increasingly explore international spirits and distinctive whiskey expressions.
The brand is built around the character of Sir Orrick, the “Knight of the Barrels”, a fictional figure representing the craftsmanship and patience behind the whiskey. Rather than serving a royal crown, Sir Orrick is portrayed as being devoted to the craft of whiskey-making. The brand’s philosophy, “Quality is an oath, not a claim,” reflects its emphasis on craftsmanship, maturation and character.

Sir Orrick’s is triple distilled in Ireland and matured using carefully selected barrels, with bourbon and sherry cask finishing adding complexity to the final expression. The whiskey opens with aromas of vanilla cream, honey and fresh orchard fruits, including pear, green apple and lemon zest. On the palate, it combines vanilla, toffee, apple, pear and malt biscuit notes with subtle oak spice and a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is smooth, with hints of sweet grain, dry oak and pepper.
The Irish whiskey is designed to be enjoyed neat, over ice or in cocktails, offering versatility for both whisky enthusiasts and consumers exploring premium Irish spirits. Its bottle design combines traditional whiskey cues with a contemporary premium aesthetic, drawing visual inspiration from the brand’s “Knight of the Barrels” identity.
