Alcobrew Distilleries India Limited has entered India’s luxury whisky segment with the launch of Gamber Valley Indian Single Malt Whisky, expanding its presence in the premium alcoholic beverages market. The new whisky portfolio comprises two ranges, Gamber Valley Private Collection 1, priced between ₹13,000 and ₹16,000, and Gamber Valley The Vault Series, priced between ₹7,000 and ₹10,000. The launch marks the company’s latest move to capitalise on growing consumer interest in premium spirits and Indian single malt whiskies.
The Gamber Valley Indian Single Malt Whisky range is distilled, matured and bottled at Alcobrew’s manufacturing facility in Solan, Himachal Pradesh. According to the company, the distillery follows an integrated production model, with all three processes carried out at the same location. The region’s Himalayan climate also forms part of the whisky-making process, while the integrated facility enables the company to oversee production at every stage, from distillation to bottling.

The new whisky range will initially be available in Haryana, Uttar Pradesh and Chandigarh, with Alcobrew planning to expand distribution to Rajasthan, Odisha, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Delhi NCT. The phased expansion is expected to extend the brand’s presence across additional markets and strengthen its position in India’s premium whisky category.
The launch comes amid continued growth in India’s premium whisky and single malt segments. According to company data, India’s whisky market was valued at ₹1,610 billion in FY2024, accounting for approximately 70% of the country’s total Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) market by value. The Indian single malt whisky market is projected to grow from an estimated ₹52 billion in FY2025 to ₹130 billion by FY2030, representing a compound annual growth rate of around 20%.

Indian single malts also strengthened their position in 2024, accounting for approximately 53% of total single malt case sales and surpassing imported Scotch whisky in volume terms for the first time, according to the figures provided. Rising disposable incomes, evolving consumer preferences and increasing interest in premium alcoholic beverages are contributing to the category’s expansion across metropolitan and non-metropolitan markets.
With the launch of Gamber Valley, Alcobrew is entering a competitive segment where domestic producers are expanding their premium portfolios and highlighting Indian production capabilities. The company’s focus on integrated manufacturing in Himachal Pradesh and a phased multi-state distribution strategy positions the new range within India’s broader premiumisation trend in the spirits industry.
