GianChand Single Malt has appointed INNOCEAN India as its digital and social media agency, marking a new step in the premium Indian whisky brand’s efforts to strengthen its digital presence and support its domestic and international growth plans. Under the new mandate, INNOCEAN India will lead GianChand’s digital strategy, creative direction, social media planning and always-on brand communication.
The partnership will see INNOCEAN India develop platform-specific content, digital campaigns and amplification strategies for GianChand Single Malt. The agency will focus on building a distinctive digital identity for the whisky brand while creating stories around its Jammu provenance, Himalayan setting, craftsmanship and whisky portfolio.
The appointment comes at a time when GianChand is gaining recognition in international whisky competitions. The brand recently received a Double Gold at the 2026 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Earlier, GianChand Adambaraa was recognised as Best Indian Whisky and Best Indian Single Malt Whisky at the 2025 International Whisky Competition, adding to the brand’s growing international credentials.

INNOCEAN India’s mandate will cover the wider GianChand portfolio, including its flagship Signature expression, unpeated single malt Adambaraa and peated single malt Manshaa. Through digital storytelling, the agency will aim to communicate the distinctive characteristics of each expression while making the brand more relevant to younger legal-drinking-age consumers and whisky enthusiasts.
The agency will also work on campaigns that extend beyond regular social media content. Its responsibilities will include new product and market launches, award-led communication, whisky education, consumer engagement initiatives, cultural and occasion-led campaigns, as well as collaborations with relevant creators, experts and whisky communities.
INNOCEAN India CEO and MD Jaeho Yoo said the agency would seek to translate GianChand’s Indian provenance and craftsmanship into a contemporary digital brand world while retaining the whisky’s distinctive identity. INNOCEAN India COO Santosh Kumar said the partnership brings together strategic brand thinking, creative storytelling and digital-first execution to strengthen GianChand’s brand stature and encourage sustained consumer engagement.
DeVANS Modern Breweries Ltd. Senior Vice President of Marketing Monalisa Mandal said the company was looking for a partner capable of bringing strategic clarity, creative storytelling and an AI-first approach as GianChand enters its next phase of growth.
Distilled and matured at DeVANS Modern Breweries’ distillery, GianChand draws on the region’s climate and Himalayan setting as an important part of its brand proposition. With INNOCEAN India now handling its digital and social mandate, GianChand plans to use content-led storytelling to strengthen awareness of its Jammu roots and build recognition across priority markets in India and overseas.
The partnership is expected to give GianChand a more structured digital platform as the brand expands its consumer engagement, product storytelling and international visibility in the premium Indian whisky segment.
