33&BREW, described as India’s first vinyl-themed microbrewery, has opened in Brookfield, Bengaluru, at Prestige Techno Star. The new venture comes from the founders of Record Room and now operates under Optimistic Capital. It blends a love for analogue music with craft beer and curated food.
The name 33&BREW is inspired by 33 RPM — the speed at which classic vinyl records are played. Staying true to its theme, the microbrewery features a collection of more than 200 vinyl records across genres like rock, soul, and more, creating a music-focused experience for guests.
The brewery’s craft beer program is led by Stephen Nelsen, a third-generation master brewer with over 30 years of experience. The tap list includes rotating small-batch beers such as IPAs, session ales, and seasonal specials.
The food menu has been designed by well-known Chef Sabyasachi Gorai. It offers globally inspired dishes including wood-fired flatbreads, handmade pastas, and a variety of grilled items, all created to pair well with the beers.
The interiors, designed by Studio Taan, combine industrial elements with retro touches. Exposed brick walls, brass accents, and visible brewing tanks give the space a warm yet modern feel.
A spokesperson from Optimistic Capital said 33&BREW is more than just a microbrewery — it’s a space that brings together craft beer, music, and community. By combining vinyl culture with small-batch brewing, the team aims to offer guests an experience where both the drinks and the music set the mood.
