The UP excise department carried out surprise inspections of liquor shops and hotels under the supervision of the District Magistrate and directives of the Uttar Pradesh Excise Commissioner.
On Tuesday, teams visited areas including Meetai, Nagla Bhus, Bulgarhi, and Bisana, inspecting both local and composite liquor shops. Officials conducted stock verification, checked the functionality of CCTV cameras, and carried out test purchases to assess the quality of alcohol. Shop owners were also reminded to strictly follow government regulations.
In addition, excise officers conducted thorough inspections of hotels and roadside eateries in the region. The operation aims to curb illegal liquor sales and other irregularities.
During the campaign, Excise Inspector Kshitij Kumar and his team were present on-site. The department stated that such enforcement operations will continue regularly in the future to ensure compliance.
