While Kerala’s long lines at liquor stores have made headlines, a new study reveals that Andhra Pradesh and Telangana actually spend the most on alcohol. According to the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP), these two Telugu-speaking states have the highest average annual spending per person on alcohol in India.
