Mumbai-based craft beer and hospitality brand Berlin Brew has expanded its presence in the city with the opening of a new outlet at Kamala Mills, Lower Parel, one of Mumbai’s prominent destinations for food, beverages and nightlife. The new location marks another step in Berlin Brew’s expansion strategy as the brand strengthens its footprint in Mumbai’s growing craft beer, casual dining and hospitality market.
The new Berlin Brew Kamala Mills outlet brings together the brand’s craft beer portfolio and a multi-cuisine food menu, offering a space designed for casual dining, social gatherings and after-work experiences. The expansion comes as demand for experiential dining and craft beverages continues to shape Mumbai’s hospitality landscape, with consumers increasingly looking for venues that combine food, beverages and social experiences.

Berlin Brew was founded by a team with experience across hospitality concepts including Bombay Cocktail Bar, Blanco Bar Eatery and Hangout, Boho Bar and Kitchen, and Shalom. The brand’s concept was influenced by the founders’ exposure to international brewing traditions and beer cultures during their travels across Germany, London and Colombia. These experiences inspired the team to explore craft beer in India and develop a brand focused on accessible and flavour-driven beer experiences.
The brand’s beverage portfolio includes craft beer styles such as Milk Stout, Dunkelweizen, Belgian Witbier and Hefeweizen, along with cider variants and seasonal brews. Recent additions to the portfolio include Kala Khatta Cider and Lichi Vanilla Cider, while the seasonal selection features a Mango IPA. The beverage range is complemented by a multi-cuisine food menu featuring dishes such as Gochujang Potatoes, Mini Blue Cheese Kulcha and Butter Garlic Prawns.

Commenting on the new outlet, Roshan Thakkar, Founder, Berlin Brew, said the brand’s journey began with the founders’ interest in the variety and craftsmanship they encountered while exploring craft beer during their travels. He said Berlin Brew was created with the intention of making craft beer approachable while focusing on flavour, quality and an enjoyable social environment. According to Thakkar, the Kamala Mills opening provides the brand with an opportunity to introduce its craft beer and food experience to a new part of Mumbai while continuing to build Berlin Brew as a destination associated with craft beer, food and community.
The opening of the Kamala Mills outlet further strengthens Berlin Brew’s presence in Mumbai’s competitive hospitality market and reflects the brand’s plans to expand its footprint while developing its identity around craft beer, innovative beverages, food and experiential dining.
