Diageo has announced the appointment of R. Alexandra “Alex” Keith as a Non-Executive Director of the company’s Board, effective November 5, 2026, subject to shareholder approval at the company’s Annual General Meeting. Keith will also join Diageo’s Remuneration and Nomination Committees from the same date.
Alex Keith is a global consumer goods executive with more than 35 years of international experience across North America, Europe and Asia. She most recently served as Chief Executive Officer of Procter & Gamble’s Beauty business, where she was responsible for one of the company’s major global portfolios. During her tenure, she focused on driving growth through product innovation, portfolio development, strategic acquisitions and organisational transformation.

Keith brings extensive experience in general management, consumer products, brand building, supply chain and enterprise leadership. Her career includes a strong track record of developing global brands, managing complex international businesses and creating long-term shareholder value through innovation, disciplined execution and strategic portfolio management.
Since 2020, Keith has also served as a Non-Executive Director of Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., a major US-based life sciences company. Her experience across consumer goods and global business leadership is expected to strengthen the expertise available to Diageo’s Board as the company continues its transformation and focuses on improving competitiveness.

Diageo Chair Sir John Manzoni welcomed Keith’s appointment, highlighting her recent chief executive experience in the consumer goods sector and her track record of leading and transforming branded businesses and responding to changing consumer trends, particularly in the US market.
The appointment forms part of Diageo’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the expertise and leadership capabilities of its Board. Keith’s appointment will take effect on November 5, 2026, provided shareholders approve it at the Annual General Meeting. Diageo has confirmed that there are no further details requiring disclosure under Listing Rule 6.4.8 in relation to the appointment.
