Chennai: Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) has launched its new online liquor ordering platform, Tasmace2e.in, enabling customers to check liquor stock availability, place orders online, make digital payments and collect their purchases from the selected TASMAC retail outlet using a QR code. The portal is available in both Tamil and English, offering a more convenient and transparent liquor purchasing experience across Tamil Nadu.
To order liquor through the TASMAC online portal, customers must first confirm that they are 21 years of age or older, which is the legal drinking age in Tamil Nadu. Users can then access the Shop Locator feature to find nearby TASMAC outlets by choosing a search radius between 5 km and 25 km, or by searching through the shop number or district. TASMAC has clarified that customers can place orders from any TASMAC outlet in the state, regardless of their current location.
After selecting a shop, the portal displays the real-time inventory of liquor brands available at that outlet. Customers can browse the available stock, add their preferred liquor products to the cart, enter their mobile number, verify it through an OTP, and complete the payment online. Once the transaction is successful, the system generates a digital receipt containing a QR code.

Customers must visit the selected TASMAC shop on the same day and present the QR code at the billing counter to collect their order. According to TASMAC’s instructions, orders that are not collected on the same day will be automatically cancelled. In such cases, ₹10 will be deducted as a cancellation fee, while the remaining amount will be refunded to the customer.
TASMAC has also issued operational guidelines for retail sales staff handling online orders. Salespersons are required to select the “Retail Sale” option on the billing device, followed by “Online Order”, verify the order details, and provide the printed receipt to the customer at the time of collection.
The new TASMAC online liquor booking system also displays the MRP and supplier details of each liquor brand, improving price transparency for consumers. The online inventory is updated every 30 minutes, ensuring that stock information remains relatively current. If a product displayed on the portal becomes unavailable before the order is completed, TASMAC has stated that the customer will either receive a refund or can choose to purchase the product from another TASMAC outlet.
With the launch of Tasmace2e.in, TASMAC has taken a significant step toward digital liquor retailing in Tamil Nadu, allowing consumers to verify stock availability before visiting a shop, reduce waiting time at retail outlets, and make secure online payments while continuing to follow the state’s liquor sale regulations.
