Shimla/New Delhi, July 2026: Alcostar Group of Companies has expanded the availability of its premium blended whisky Sherry Platinum to Punjab and Himachal Pradesh, taking the brand’s footprint to five states Delhi, Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The expansion marks a significant step in Alcostar’s strategy of building a pan-India presence for its premium spirits portfolio across high-potential regional markets.

Sherry Platinum Whisky is crafted as a blend of Indian grain spirits and selected imported Scotch malts, matured in oak casks to deliver what the brand describes as an approachable luxury experience. The whisky opens with delicate floral aromas, followed by notes of honey and vanilla, layered with subtle oak and a light hint of smokiness, leading to a smooth and lingering finish. The brand’s philosophy “Smoothness Was Never So Bold” positions it at the intersection of premium quality and everyday accessibility, targeting consumers who are upgrading their whisky choices without moving into ultra-premium price points.
Arundeep Singla, Chairman and Managing Director, Alcostar Group of Companies, said: “Our objective is to offer consumers quality-driven brands that align with evolving lifestyle preferences and premium aspirations. As a company, we remain committed to building a stronger market presence, expanding our portfolio footprint, and creating brands that establish long-term consumer connect.”

The Punjab and Himachal Pradesh markets are a natural fit for Sherry Platinum. Both states have strong per-capita whisky consumption and an established retail and on-trade infrastructure for premium blended whiskies. Himachal Pradesh in particular is home to Alcostar’s distillery operations in Shimla, giving the brand an authentic regional connection to its production geography.
Alcostar Group had entered the Chhattisgarh market in June 2026 with a three-brand portfolio strategy, simultaneously launching Sherry Platinum Whisky, KIEV Vodka and Royal General Gold, positioning itself across multiple consumer segments in the state. The Chhattisgarh entry, combined with the Punjab and Himachal expansion, signals that Alcostar is pursuing a deliberate multi-state rollout strategy for its premium portfolio rather than a single-market approach.
Alcostar Distilleries, the manufacturing arm of the Alcostar Group, operates as a self-sustained beverage alcohol ecosystem in northern India, with integrated manufacturing and distribution capabilities. The group’s portfolio includes Sherry Platinum Whisky, Royal General Gold Whisky, KIEV Vodka and other spirits, each positioned to address a distinct consumer segment within India’s evolving alco-bev market.
With a presence now established across five states spanning north and central India, Sherry Platinum is expected to continue its geographic expansion into additional markets as part of Alcostar Group’s broader national growth ambitions.
