New Delhi, May 26, 2026: India’s alco-bev industry continues to witness strong premiumisation trends, with leading domestic liquor companies increasingly focusing on premium Indian single malts, craft spirits and international market expansion. Amid this evolving market landscape, Oasis Group has announced an ambitious target of achieving ₹5,700 crore in revenue by 2028 as it strengthens its presence in the premium spirits segment.
The company recently unveiled its premium Indian Single Malt Whisky brand “AAGHAAZ,” marking a significant step in Oasis Group’s long-term premiumisation strategy. Industry observers believe the launch reflects the growing demand for premium Indian whiskies both in domestic and international markets as consumers increasingly shift towards high-quality homegrown spirits.
According to the company, Oasis Group currently operates multiple distilleries across India and produces nearly 360 million litres of ethanol annually, supporting both beverage alcohol and industrial requirements. The group has also been expanding its international footprint while investing heavily in premium product development and brand building.

Speaking on the development, Deep Malhotra, Chairman of Oasis Group, said the company is focusing on building globally competitive Indian premium spirits that combine Indian craftsmanship with international quality standards. He added that AAGHAAZ represents the group’s commitment to strengthening India’s position in the rapidly growing global premium whisky segment.
The AAGHAAZ Indian Single Malt is produced using carefully selected Indian six-row barley sourced from Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and the Himalayan foothills. The whisky is distilled through traditional copper pot stills and matured in bourbon and oak casks in the Shivalik foothills, where cooler climatic conditions help develop complex flavours and smoother character.
The premium whisky has already started gaining international recognition. AAGHAAZ recently received honours at global whisky competitions, including recognition at international whisky awards platforms.
Industry experts note that India’s premium whisky market is currently among the fastest-growing categories in the alco-bev sector, driven by rising disposable incomes, evolving consumer preferences and growing global acceptance of Indian single malts. Several Indian brands have increasingly gained visibility at international whisky competitions over the past few years.
Oasis Group stated that the company plans to strengthen exports across key international markets including Europe, North America, the UAE, Africa and Southeast Asia. Alongside Indian single malts, the company is also preparing additional premium launches across vodka, luxury spirits and artisanal beverage categories.
The company said its long-term growth strategy will continue to focus on premium portfolio expansion, operational efficiency, export growth and consumer-led innovation as competition intensifies in India’s fast-growing premium spirits industry.
