Amrut Distilleries has appointed PM Spirits as its exclusive importer in the United States, starting May 1, 2026. This move strengthens a long-standing relationship between the two companies, which began over a decade ago when PM Spirits handled distribution in New York.
With this change, Amrut will transition from its previous US partner, Glass Revolution Imports, the company that originally introduced the brand to the American market.
Amrut’s master distiller Ashok Chokalingam expressed confidence in the partnership, saying it builds on years of successful collaboration and is expected to drive future growth in the US.

Founded in 1948 and still family-run under Rakshit N Jagdale, Amrut has played a major role in putting Indian single malt whisky on the global map. The company produces its whisky using Indian barley and matures it in Bangalore, where the warm climate speeds up the ageing process.
Amrut gained global recognition in 2010 when whisky expert Jim Murray ranked its flagship single malt among the world’s best—marking a turning point for Indian whisky on the global stage.
Today, Amrut offers a wide range of products, including classic single malts, peated variants, the popular Fusion range, and even rum and gin.
PM Spirits, founded by Nicolas Palazzi, distributes a variety of premium and artisanal spirits across more than 40 US states. With Amrut joining its portfolio, the company aims to further tap into the growing demand in the US for high-quality whiskies from emerging regions.
Overall, the partnership is expected to strengthen Amrut’s presence in the American market and support the rising popularity of Indian single malts worldwide.
