Simba Beer, co-founded by Ishwaraj Singh Bhatia in 2016, has grown into one of India’s leading names in the craft beer industry. With its unique offerings and bold vision, the brand is now venturing into exciting new territory—collaborative brewing—through a new initiative called Simba Garage.
Crafting a Revolution in Beer
Simba made waves early on by becoming the first Indian brand to bottle stout beer, and over the years, it has expanded across 16 Indian states, including Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Assam. From crisp lagers to rich stouts, the beers brewed at Simba’s state-of-the-art facility in Durg, Chhattisgarh, have won over fans across the country.
In 2024, the brand ventured into the spirits market with ZigZag vodka, available in multiple fruity flavors—original, lime, orange, and green apple—signaling a bold step toward diversification.
But Simba is not just about beer and spirits—it’s also about community. The brand has consistently connected with India’s young and dynamic audience through digital campaigns, pop-up events, and unique brand experiences like Brew Off and Uproar, and has even partnered with major events like India Cocktail Week.
Enter Simba Garage: Where Bold Brews Are Born
Simba Garage is the next chapter in Simba’s journey—a platform for collaborating with local microbreweries and showcasing creative, small-batch craft beers to a wider audience. The idea grew out of the Simba Brew Off competition and quickly turned into a full-fledged initiative focused on experimental brewing.
The first release under this project is Los Pablos, a refreshing Mexican-style lager developed in collaboration with Rolling Mills Brewery in Mumbai. This light, tropical brew—with hints of corn tortillas—is tailor-made for beach vibes and Indian palates.
Why It Matters
“Craft beer is more than just a drink—it’s an experience,” says Ishwaraj Singh Bhatia. “With Simba Garage, we’re creating a space where local brewers can share their creativity, push boundaries, and introduce beer lovers to something new.”
Through this initiative, Simba is helping smaller breweries step into the spotlight while introducing consumers to flavors they might never have found otherwise. It’s a win-win for both beer lovers and brewers.
Looking Ahead
Simba Garage is just getting started. While the current focus is on craft beer, Ishwaraj hints at bigger things in the future—perhaps branching into other artisanal beverages or cultural experiences. For now, though, the mission is clear: to make India’s craft beer scene more dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive.
So, if you’re a fan of bold flavors, unique brews, and creative collabs—keep an eye on Simba Garage. There’s a lot more brewing behind the scenes.
