Lucknow: The online lottery draw for liquor shops in Uttar Pradesh was conducted on Thursday. Out of 27,308 available shops, 26,994 were successfully allocated, achieving a 98.9% allocation rate. The remaining 314 shops will be up for grabs in the second round.
Excise officials stated that successful applicants have until March 12 to submit the necessary fees for starting their business operations. The final number of unallocated shops for the second round will be confirmed by March 13, as some entrepreneurs may surrender their shops due to market conditions or eligibility limits (a person can operate only two shops).
