India Glycols Limited (IGL) has announced the appointment of Manoj Kumar Rai as the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of its wholly-owned subsidiary, IGSL Spirits Limited, effective August 4, 2026. The appointment has been made as part of the ongoing Scheme of Arrangement involving India Glycols and its subsidiaries. The Board of Directors of IGSL Spirits approved his appointment as an Additional Director, and he will serve as Executive Director & COO for a five-year term, ending on August 3, 2031, subject to shareholder approval.
Manoj Kumar Rai is an accomplished business leader with more than 27 years of leadership experience across engineering, consumer goods, entertainment, and alcoholic beverages. Throughout his career, he has built expertise in business strategy, profit and loss (P&L) management, commercial excellence, and business transformation, making him well-positioned to drive IGSL Spirits’ growth and operational performance.

Before joining IGSL Spirits, Rai served as Chief Revenue Officer at Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited, where he played a key role in driving business growth and market expansion. He has also held senior leadership positions at Pernod Ricard India and Marico Industries, gaining extensive experience in sales, marketing, and strategic business development within India’s fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and alcoholic beverages sectors.
Academically, Manoj Kumar Rai holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi. His strong academic credentials, combined with decades of industry expertise, are expected to strengthen IGSL Spirits’ leadership team and support the company’s long-term expansion strategy.
