Allied Blenders and Distillers Names Pradipta Basu as Chief Marketing Officer
Allied Blenders and Distillers has appointed Pradipta Basu as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective April 15, 2026. He will also be part of the company’s senior management team.
Following his appointment and a restructuring of reporting roles, Arvind Mohta and Uday Rao will no longer be classified as senior management personnel. However, they will continue in their positions as marketing directors.
Basu brings over 25 years of experience across the FMCG and alcoholic beverages sectors. Over the course of his career, he has worked with leading companies such as Radico Khaitan, United Spirits, ITC, Godfrey Phillips India, Alcobrew Distilleries India, and HJ Heinz.

In his most recent role at Radico Khaitan, he served as Vice President – Marketing and Business Development. There, he led national marketing strategy, managed brand portfolios, oversaw profit and loss responsibilities, and drove innovation and growth across multiple liquor categories.

He has extensive experience working with both mass and premium brands, handling ATL and BTL campaigns, product launches, pricing strategies, and managing agency networks.
Basu holds a business management qualification from the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. He also has an MBA in Marketing and HR, a bachelor’s degree, a qualification in hotel management, and a PhD in Management from École Supérieure Robert de Sorbonne, France.
