Medusa Beverages has officially entered the Jharkhand market, marking an important step in its expansion into eastern India. The company is focusing on regions with a rising population of young consumers and increasing demand for premium products.
As part of its launch, Medusa is introducing its popular variants—Medusa Premium Beer, Medusa Air, and Medusa X House of Dragon. These will be available at retail outlets and licensed liquor stores across major cities such as Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Dhanbad, and Bokaro.
To strengthen its presence, the company is working on building a robust distribution network through local partnerships. It aims to achieve nearly 90% market reach, while also focusing on better in-store visibility and engaging consumers through promotional activities.
Jharkhand is emerging as a promising market for premium beer brands, driven by rising incomes and increasing urbanisation. This shift in consumer behavior is creating new opportunities, especially in the premium segment.
Avneet Singh, Managing Director and CEO of Medusa Beverages, said that the company sees Jharkhand as its gateway to eastern India. He added that the brand aims to fill gaps in the premium and modern beer category, particularly among younger consumers, and plans to continue expanding its presence across the country.
The rollout will continue in the coming months, covering both on-trade and off-trade channels. This expansion is expected to contribute significantly to the company’s revenue growth in the upcoming financial year.
Currently, Medusa holds around a 10% market share in Delhi and is looking to expand further into eastern and southern states while strengthening its production and distribution capabilities.
