Desi Daru, the award-winning vodka brand inspired by India and made in Britain, has launched a heartfelt campaign called ‘One Sip, One Day’ in partnership with charity: water, a global nonprofit that helps bring clean drinking water to communities in need.
With this initiative, every 25ml sip of Desi Daru Vodka will provide one person with clean water for an entire day. A full bottle will offer clean water for a whole month. The goal is simple — turn every drink into a chance to help solve India’s water crisis.
Clean water remains a serious issue in India, where millions of people still don’t have reliable access to safe drinking water. Many families have to walk miles each day just to collect it. This not only affects health, but also education and economic progress.
“This cause is very personal to me,” says Mohit Singh, founder of Desi Daru. “I grew up seeing how lack of clean water affected lives in India. With this campaign, every sip our customers take helps change someone’s life back home.”
Desi Daru was founded by husband-and-wife duo Mohit Singh and Aneet Kaur, British-born Indians who wanted to celebrate their heritage with a premium vodka brand. Through this campaign, they are working with charity: water to fund rainwater harvesting systems—a sustainable and safe water source, especially in areas where groundwater is either unsafe or unavailable.
