Jaipur, 25th November, 2024: The Rajasthan excise department has held a meeting with all stakeholders on 24th November 24 in Jaipur to discuss the status of guarantee and revenue of the current excise policy and solicited suggestions for the next year’s excise policy. Amongst the attendees, various organizations like CIABC, ISWAI, AIBA along with representatives from Rajasthan distillers and bottlers association, Hotel & tourism industry, Bar & Restaurants associations, Rajasthan retail licensee association were present in the meeting to share their views and suggestions.
The Rajasthan state excise commissioner along with executive director of Rajasthan State Beverages Corporation (RSBCL) and officials from Rajasthan state Ganganagar Sugar mills represented the state government.
Some of the organizations & associations have given their suggestions and memorandums during the meeting regarding the issues being faced by the manufacturers, distillers, bottlers and breweries and suggesting the government of Rajasthan to create more business-friendly environment by bringing a more ease – of – doing excise policy for the FY 2025 -26.
Almost all stakeholders raised their serious concern on the slow-moving online portal since the beginning of October,24 which has caused a huge amount of business loss and revenue. State government officials have assured all stakeholders that this will be resolved shortly.
Mr. Nilesh Mewara, President of the Rajasthan Liquor Welfare society informed that among the other suggestions are to increase the retail vends time till 10 PM from present 8 PM, Retail licensee renewal for one more year and adjustment of guarantee in a positive and favorable manner.
