London/New Delhi: Radico Khaitan has expanded the global travel-retail presence of its premium Indian whisky portfolio, with Rampur Indian Single Malt and Sangam World Malt now available at duty-free outlets across four major UK airports — Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham. The move marks a significant step in the company’s strategy to take Indian luxury spirits to international travellers and strengthen the global positioning of its premium brands.
The rollout includes Rampur Indian Single Malt Double Cask, Rampur Asava, Rampur Barrel Blush and Sangam World Malt. Radico Khaitan said it has become the first Indian spirits company to have its brands available across the duty-free networks of all four airports, expanding the visibility of its luxury whisky portfolio in one of the world’s most established Scotch whisky markets.
The development represents an expansion of Rampur’s existing UK presence rather than its first entry into the British market. Rampur was already available at Heathrow, while Radico Khaitan’s Jaisalmer Indian Craft Gin has also established a presence in UK retail channels. The latest rollout extends the company’s airport footprint to four major international travel hubs.

Together, Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham handled more than 170 million passengers in 2025, giving Radico Khaitan access to a large and diverse international traveller base. Heathrow recorded around 84.5 million passengers, Gatwick about 42.8 million, Manchester approximately 32.1 million and Birmingham around 13.7 million during the year.
Radico Khaitan’s UK airport expansion comes as the company places greater emphasis on Global Travel Retail (GTR) alongside its conventional export markets. Airport retail has become an increasingly important channel for the company’s premium portfolio, helping support record export sales in the financial year ended March 2026. According to Reuters, exports accounted for around 5–6% of Radico Khaitan’s sales volumes and 9–10% of its revenue at the time.
The company currently has its products available across more than 65 duty-free locations globally and is targeting an expansion to more than 100 locations. Radico’s management has indicated that its international strategy is focused not simply on increasing the number of airports where its products are sold, but on building stronger brand visibility for Indian premium spirits among international consumers.
Radico Khaitan Managing Director Abhishek Khaitan said the company’s international ambition is centred on building meaningful brand presence and presenting Indian spirits to consumers who value provenance, craftsmanship and distinctive character. He described Global Travel Retail as an important channel for showcasing the depth and evolving quality of Indian spirits to a worldwide audience.
The expansion also comes against the backdrop of strong growth in Radico Khaitan’s premium and luxury portfolio. In FY2026, the company’s Prestige & Above portfolio accounted for 70.3% of IMFL sales value, up from 69.4% in FY2025. Radico reported FY2026 net revenue of approximately ₹6,050 crore, while IMFL volumes increased to around 38.3 million cases.

The company’s international business has also benefited from growth in markets outside the Gulf. In May 2026, Reuters reported that Radico’s exports had reached a record level in FY2026, supported by growth in Africa, Asia-Pacific and airport retail, which helped offset a temporary slowdown in Gulf shipments.
For Rampur, the latest airport expansion further strengthens the whisky’s international distribution network. Produced at Radico Khaitan’s Rampur Distillery in Uttar Pradesh, the Indian single malt is positioned as a premium whisky with a production heritage dating back to the establishment of the distillery in 1943. The brand highlights maturation in the foothills of the Himalayas and the influence of India’s distinctive climate on its whisky profile.
The four UK airports also give Radico an opportunity to showcase Indian whisky in a market internationally associated with Scotch whisky. The company’s international business leadership has described the UK rollout as an opportunity to introduce Indian whisky to consumers in the traditional home of Scotch, reflecting the broader global rise of premium Indian spirits.
The latest move is part of a broader premiumisation strategy at Radico Khaitan, with the company expanding its portfolio of higher-value spirits and strengthening distribution in overseas markets. Alongside Rampur, the company has been building international visibility for brands such as Jaisalmer Gin and Sangam World Malt through specialist retail, exports and travel-retail channels.
With Rampur Double Cask, Asava, Barrel Blush and Sangam World Malt now available across Heathrow, Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham, Radico Khaitan is significantly increasing the exposure of its Indian luxury whisky portfolio to international travellers. The expansion reinforces Global Travel Retail as an important growth channel for Indian premium spirits and forms part of Radico Khaitan’s broader effort to establish Indian whisky brands on the global stage.
