Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Excise Department has recorded a revenue collection of ₹5,422.52 crore in February 2025, surpassing its target of ₹5,000 crore. This achievement marks 108.5% of the set goal, reflecting the department’s effective enforcement measures and continuous supervision.
Excise and Prohibition MinisterShri Nitin Agarwal shared that the total excise revenue collected till February in the financial year 2024-25 stands at ₹43,322.87 crore, which is ₹2,098.71 crore more than the ₹41,224.16 crore collected during the same period last year.
He also highlighted the outstanding performance of districts Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Chandauli, Kaushambi, and Mahoba, which achieved over 100% of their respective revenue targets.
Shri Agarwal emphasized that higher revenue collection not only strengthens the state’s financial condition but also reflects the efficiency and commitment of the excise department in achieving its goals.
