Located in the bustling Manyata Tech Park area, this new microbrewery spans two acres and can accommodate 1,500 visitors. It combines India’s rich brewing traditions with modern creativity, offering a unique experience that celebrates the country’s cultural and culinary heritage.
The brewery’s design features different zones dedicated to Culture, Opinion, Art, Sustainability, and Taste, reflecting ICB’s mission to connect India’s ancient brewing roots with contemporary innovations. This immersive setting aims to make every visit a cultural journey, while the brewery also plans to host future pop-up events showcasing royal heirloom recipes curated by renowned chefs.
ICB places a strong emphasis on sustainability. It partners with Saving Grains to repurpose brewing byproducts like spent grains into nutritious snacks. The brewery also focuses on sourcing local and natural ingredients for its beers, like the Nandi Nectar, made from wild honey sourced in Chennai.
In addition to its traditional craft beers, ICB stands out with its research-driven approach to brewing, including a special research and development center in Belgium. Led by master brewer Antonio Rodriguez-Giralt, the brewery creates innovative brews like Ramanujan, a non-alcoholic craft beer inspired by India’s famous mathematician. This commitment to offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options ensures there’s something for every beer lover.
With its focus on tradition, sustainability, and innovation, ICB is poised to reshape the craft beer scene in India.
