Allied Blenders & Distillers (ABD) has appointed industry veteran Amar Sinha as Managing Director Designate, effective April 2, 2026. This move signals a planned leadership transition as the tenure of current MD Alok Gupta nears completion.
The appointment has been approved by the company’s board and is aimed at ensuring smooth leadership continuity while supporting ABD’s long-term growth plans.
Sinha brings more than 30 years of experience in the alco-beverage and consumer sectors. Before this, he served as Chief Operating Officer at Radico Khaitan. He has also held key leadership roles, including Managing Director at Whyte & Mackay India, and senior positions at Herbertsons under the UB Group.
He is known for driving business transformation and building strong brands, and his appointment comes at a crucial time as ABD looks to strengthen its position in a highly competitive market.
Commenting on the development, Non-Executive Chairman Kishore Chhabria thanked the outgoing leadership and expressed confidence that Sinha will successfully lead the company into its next phase of growth.
Amar Sinha also shared his enthusiasm about joining ABD, stating that the company has built a strong brand portfolio and that he looks forward to working with the team to drive future growth.
