Hyderabad: The Telangana government has completed the reservation process for 2,620 liquor outlets across the state. Out of these, 393 shops have been reserved for members of the Goud community, 262 for Scheduled Castes (SCs), and 131 for Scheduled Tribes (STs). The reservations were finalised through a draw held in the presence of district collectors.
A government notification for setting up new liquor shops was already issued earlier. Now, with the reservations in place, applications are open for all eligible individuals. Applicants can apply for multiple outlets, except those already reserved under specific categories.
The last date to submit applications is October 18, and the final selection of license holders will be done through a lottery on October 23.
