The Haryana government has successfully completed the auction of 1,194 retail liquor zones for the financial years 2025 to 2027, generating a total licence fee revenue of ₹14,342 crore. This amount will be collected over a span of 21 months and 20 days.
Gurugram emerged as the top contributor, bringing in ₹3,875 crore—around 27% of the state’s total liquor revenue. Faridabad followed with ₹1,696 crore (12%).
Other high-revenue districts include:

Even Yamunanagar, which saw limited participation in previous auctions, showed significant improvement, earning ₹439.88 crore—up from ₹237.81 crore last year.
According to a spokesperson from the Excise and Taxation Department, quick and effective actions by law enforcement against criminal elements helped speed up the auction process across the state.
