Growth Driven by Reforms in Excise Policy
- This remarkable growth is a result of major reforms introduced under the new Excise Policy of Uttar Pradesh. Key changes include:
- Composite Licensing System for beer and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL),
- Mandatory use of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and e-billing,
- A completely digital licensing process, enhancing transparency and ease of doing business.
These structured policy reforms have improved compliance and operational efficiency across the alcoholic beverages sector, demonstrating how well-planned regulatory changes can boost both revenue collection and industry growth.
