June 11, 2025 – Mumbai: Allied Blenders and Distillers (ABD) has taken a major step in its global growth journey by acquiring full ownership of the popular Mansion House and Savoy Club liquor brands.
In a board meeting held today, ABD approved the purchase of 100% shares of UTO Asia Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based company that owns the global rights to both brands. The deal was finalized for €1.225 million (excluding taxes and duties), and the acquisition is effective immediately.
With this move, UTO Asia becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of ABD.
UTO Asia is primarily engaged in the liquor, spirits, and wine business and holds the worldwide rights (with some exceptions) to the Mansion House and Savoy Club brands. These rights exclude a few Southeast Asian countries — Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, China, and Myanmar.
This acquisition gives ABD greater control over the global presence of its key brands (outside the excluded regions) and supports the company’s strategy to expand internationally, strengthen brand recognition, and fuel growth in new markets.
