Indian Distiller Uncorks a Spirited Legacy with Indri Single Malt

Piccadily’s 11-Year-Old Indri Whisky Sets Its Sights on Scotch

MUMBAI: India’s whisky scene has just turned a new leaf with the launch of Indri Founder’s Reserve, a bold 11-year-old single malt from Piccadily Agro Industries that’s already turning heads across the globe.

Limited to just 1,100 bottles worldwide, this exclusive edition pays homage to the company’s founder, Kidar Nath Sharma, whose entrepreneurial vision grew a modest family business into the dynamic Piccadily Group. Aged in ex-Bordeaux red wine casks, the whisky brings depth, character, and a determined push to put Indian single malts on the world map.

From its Haryana-based distillery, Piccadily harnesses India’s climatic extremes—sweltering 50°C summers and freezing winters—to accelerate maturation and develop bold, complex flavors, something traditional Scottish climates can’t replicate.

Bottled at 50% ABV for India and a potent 58.5% for export, Indri Founder’s Reserve delivers a rich nose of dark fruits and spice, a palate layered with caramelised nuts and vanilla, and finishes with a luxurious blend of oak and wine-soaked sweetness.

“This expression embodies our founder’s dream—to create a world-class Indian single malt with soul, structure, and enduring quality,” says Shalini Sharma, Marketing Head at Piccadily Agro Industries.

The whisky has already made a splash on the global stage, scoring 98 points and a Platinum medal at the Las Vegas Global Spirits Awards, and earning a spot at #8 in the International Whisky Competition’s Top 15 Whiskies of the World.

As for the price? It’s offered with classic luxury discretion—“Price on request.”

The message is unmistakable: Piccadily isn’t just making whisky—it’s bottling legacy, ambition, and India’s future in fine spirits.
