Piccadily Agro Industries Limited (PAIL) has unveiled an ambitious Rs 1,000 crore expansion plan, aimed at supporting its flagship brands and driving innovation in new spirit categories. The company, known for its Indri single malt whisky and Camikara rum, is looking to increase its market presence and introduce more variety to its product lineup.
As part of this growth strategy, Piccadily Agro plans to open a state-of-the-art visitor center at its Indri, Haryana facility. This center will cater to whisky enthusiasts and tourists keen on learning about the whisky-making process. The expansion is expected to be completed in phases, with the first phase of the Indri malt and ethanol plant scheduled to finish by early 2025.
Key components of the expansion include increasing production capacity at the Indri distillery to 250 kilo liters per day (KLPD) and expanding warehousing capabilities to store over 100,000 barrels. Additionally, Piccadily plans to set up a new distillery in Mahasamund, Chhattisgarh, as part of its broader growth plan.
For the second quarter of FY25, Piccadily Agro reported impressive financial results, with a 63.45% year-over-year increase in revenue and a 74.45% growth in EBITDA. PAIL, a publicly listed company on the BSE, operates primarily in the distillery and sugar sectors. Its manufacturing facility in Indri spans 168 acres and is equipped with cutting-edge technology to produce a wide range of products.
