The whisky’s flagship product, INCEPTION, was awarded the titles of ‘Best Overall Scotch’ and ‘Best of Class’ Blended Malt Scotch Whisky.
The New York World Spirits Competition, which is part of The Tasting Alliance, evaluates a wide range of spirits, from well-established brands to new craft producers. It’s judged by a panel of experts who recognize exceptional quality and craftsmanship in the industry.
Shah Rukh Khan, Co-founder of D’YAVOL, expressed pride in the award, saying it reflects the brand’s commitment to creating premium products with care and passion. D’YAVOL INCEPTION is a blend of eight rare single malts from different regions of Scotland, including Speyside, Highland, Lowland, and Islands. Some of the malts are aged for up to 12 years, with some spending extra time in special casks like Tawny Port and Madeira. The whisky, which was launched in 2023, is non-chill filtered, preserving its full flavor and character. Its taste profile includes dark chocolate, dried fruit, oak spice, smoked wood, ripe plums, spiced vanilla, and a hint of smokiness.
Aryan Khan, also a Co-founder, called the win both a validation and an inspiration, emphasizing the brand’s commitment to authenticity and quality.
