Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Cabinet approved a proposal for conversion of the posts of Excise Constable and Assistant Sub-Inspector of Excise from District Cadre and EI and EB Unit Cadre to Divisional Cadre and State Cadre respectively for smooth management of Excise Administration in the State.
“With a view to create a space for strong and effective administration in the State and to achieve the aims and objectives of Government by bringing efficiency and transparency among the lower level excise functionaries by implementing 5-T initiatives, the Excise Department had proposed to convert the posts of Excise Constable from District Cadre and EI & EB Unit Cadre to Divisional Cadre and the post of Assistant Sub-Inspector of Excise from District Cadre and EI & EB Unit Cadre to State Cadre”, according to a press release.
The State Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, has approved the proposal of the Excise Department.
