Lucknow: With the implementation of the model code of conduct, the excise department will carry out a special enforcement drive till March 31. ACS (excise) Sanjay Bhoosreddy said joint teams, comprising DMs, senior police officials and excise officials, have been formed to carry out raids.
Senthil Pandian C, excise commissioner, said in light of the elections, 31 final check posts have been set up at districts along Haryana, Delhi, Bihar, Rajasthan, MP and Nepal.
