Shajapur: Excise Department on Monday took action against food outlets for serving liquor illegally.
Excise sub-inspector Prateek Gupta searched Kachhwai Dhaba, Vishal Restaurant, Darbar Dhaba and Dhakad Dhaba.
He seized 25 quarters of country made liquor from New Durbar restaurant located on Bhilkhedi Road. Its operator Jasmat son of Jairam and Govind son of Dilip Singh has been booked under section 34(1) of Madhya Pradesh Excise Act 1915.
Constable Lakhan Sisodiya and Ram Singh were part of action.
