Andhra Pradesh has quickly grown into one of India’s strongest liquor markets, becoming the fourth largest in the country. A combination of the state’s encouraging retail policy and rising consumer demand has helped major alcohol companies—especially Radico Khaitan and United Spirits—gain higher market share and improve their profits.
Data from the Confederation of Indian Alcoholic Beverage Companies (CIABC) shows that the state sold 35,527,010 lakh cases of IMFL in the last financial year, giving Andhra Pradesh a 9% share of India’s total liquor market.
The growth trend continues this year as well. Between January and August 2025, Andhra Pradesh sold 2.71 crore cases of liquor, compared to 2.21 crore cases during the same period in 2024. This marks a strong 22.7% increase in sales.
The state’s rapidly expanding market and consumer demand are proving highly beneficial for leading liquor manufacturers across India.
