Indian whiskies continue to shine on the global stage — and this year’s Las Vegas Global Spirits Awards 2025 proved it once again. Out of the top five spots, four were claimed by Indian brands. Leading the pack was Indri’s Diwali Collector’s Edition 2025 Marsala Cask Finish, which earned the prestigious title of ‘Best World Whisky’ with an outstanding score of 99.1 out of 100.
Produced by Piccadily Distilleries in Indri, Haryana, this limited-edition single malt is crafted from six-row Indian barley and aged in Marsala wine casks — a fortified wine from Sicily known for its rich, sweet, and nutty flavor. The result is a whisky that’s complex, layered, and deeply aromatic.
Bottled at cask strength (60% ABV), the whisky offers aromas of stewed apricots, cherries, plums, vanilla, and honeyed caramel, balanced with hints of nutty spice. On the palate, it reveals flavors of red berries, chocolate, nutmeg, and walnuts, with an earthy undertone. The finish lingers beautifully with notes of wood spice, orange oil, almond brittle, and a dry wine-like tannic touch.

About the Awards
The Las Vegas Global Spirits Awards (LVGSA) is an independent U.S.-based competition where entries are judged through blind tastings by industry experts, including distillers, bartenders, buyers, and educators. Each spirit is evaluated on appearance, aroma, palate, balance, and finish using a 100-point scale.
Awards are categorized into Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals, with additional honors for ‘Best in Category’ and ‘Best in Show’. Winners often use these accolades in their branding and marketing to highlight their craftsmanship and global recognition.
