The state government is putting more emphasis on industrial investment to create a 1 trillion dollar economy. The Excise Department is also giving its full support in this ambitious plan of the state government. In this sequence, the Excise Department is going to organize a meeting of investors in collaboration with Invest UP of the state. This meeting will be held in Lucknow in the month of June. 137 investors had signed the MoU under which a total investment of Rs 39708.21 crore is to be made. 46 projects are ready for Ground Breaking Ceremony (GBC). An investment of Rs 7888.73 crore has been made in GBC ready projects. 95 distilleries, 7 breweries and 3 wineries are being operated by the Excise Department. New 13 distilleries, 5 breweries and 3 wineries are under construction in the state.
