Expands reach to defence personnel with top-selling labels like Dindori Reserve Shiraz
Sula Vineyards, India’s leading wine producer, has expanded its premium portfolio by introducing four new wines to the Canteen Stores Department (CSD)—a retail chain that serves India’s defence forces. The newly listed wines include:
-
Dindori Reserve Shiraz (India’s top premium red wine)
-
RĀSĀ Syrah
-
The Source Grenache Rosé
-
Sula Riesling
This brings Sula’s total number of wines available in CSD outlets to nine, further strengthening its presence in this important and growing market.
Making fine wine more accessible
CSD wine sales have jumped 40% in the past two years, and Sula’s move comes at the right time. The company aims to make premium wines more accessible to India’s defence and service personnel.
A long-term effort pays off
Sula CEO Rajeev Samant called this a major milestone, noting that the listing of these new wines comes after two years of effort. He expressed confidence that the popular Dindori Reserve Shiraz will drive even more interest and sales in the premium segment.
Ready for the future
With the first shipment sent in March 2025, Sula is gearing up for a strong performance in the next financial year. This expansion not only boosts their premium lineup but also cements their position as a leader in India’s growing wine industry.
