In preparation for the upcoming counting day of the Assembly Elections, the District Election Officer, Ananya Mittal, and Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishore Kaushal, held a briefing for magistrates and police officers at the Cooperative College campus. They provided detailed instructions to ensure a secure and smooth counting process on November 23, 2024.

Key directives included prohibiting the entry of unauthorized individuals into the counting hall and banning mobile phones, electronic gadgets, and flammable items. Only authorized personnel with valid passes will be allowed entry. The importance of confidentiality was emphasized, with a strict no-photography and no-video policy for EVM displays.

Medical teams, fire engines, and ambulances will be deployed at the venue from 5:00 AM on counting day. The Excise Department was instructed to ensure all liquor shops remain closed on November 23.

Robust security arrangements were assured, with riot control teams, Vajra vehicles, and Quick Response Teams (QRTs) on standby. Police in charge were also ordered to increase patrolling to maintain law and order.
