After a five-year break, SulaFest, the popular wine and music festival hosted by Sula Vineyards, is making a comeback on February 1-2, 2025. The 14th edition of the festival promises to be a more refined and focused experience, with a stronger emphasis on wine and a reduced crowd size, welcoming about 10,000 visitors, which is 30% fewer than in previous years.
SulaFest has always been known for blending live music, premium wines, and a festive atmosphere in the scenic setting of Sula’s vineyards in Nashik. While the festival had to take a pause after the 2020 edition due to the pandemic, the event is returning due to popular demand, with a fresh perspective and a renewed excitement from the Sula team.
Rajeev Samant, CEO of Sula Vineyards, shared, “This five-year break has only made us more enthusiastic about creating an experience that builds on SulaFest’s legacy and takes it to new heights.”
This year, the festival will maintain popular features like wine tastings with expert sommeliers, vineyard tours, a lively marketplace, and non-stop music. However, the musical lineup will be limited to Indian artists, due to time constraints in organizing international acts. There will also be a reduced focus on Bollywood music, with more emphasis on local performances.
The event will showcase only Sula’s own wines, with no spirits or other imported wines available for tasting. Beer from their portfolio will also be served. The organizers are also making sure to improve the visitor experience, limiting crowd size and providing better parking and accommodation options. With new hotels and resorts in the area, there will be about 400 rooms available near Sula Vineyards, making it easier for guests to find a place to stay.
In the future, SulaFest will become a biennial event, meaning the next edition after 2025 will be held in 2027. The company has kept ticket prices the same as in 2020, and hopes to offer affordable wine tasting opportunities for all attendees.
For those traveling to Nashik, connectivity has improved with direct flights from several cities to the region, making it easier than ever to attend the festival.
