Glenfiddich has teamed up with the Aston Martin Formula 1 Team for a unique collaboration, celebrating their shared commitment to excellence and innovation

As part of this partnership, Glenfiddich is releasing a special 65-year-old single malt whisky, which was originally cask-aged in 1959—the same year Aston Martin entered Formula 1 and won the Le Mans race.

This vintage whisky was put into cask by Glenfiddich’s third malt master, Gordon Grant, during a time when single malts were rare, as most whisky was used for blends. The whisky was aged in a sherry butt, and its tasting notes include aromas of oak, aged leather, tannin, and beeswax, with flavors of cloves, dates, walnuts, and dark chocolate, leading to a dry, tannic finish.

Glenfiddich’s malt master, Brian Kinsman, noted that this rare whisky represents both a historical moment and the spirit of innovation shared by both brands. However, if you’re hoping to get your hands on a bottle, you’ll have to wait for details about its release and price, which will be announced later. In the meantime, other Glenfiddich expressions, like the 31-year-old Grand Chateau, are available for purchase.
