The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the government in response to a petition asking for mandatory age checks at all liquor stores and bars. The petition, filed by the organization Community Against Drunken Driving (CADD), highlights the rising problem of minors being involved in drunk-driving accidents. It calls for the creation of a strong policy to ensure that alcohol buyers’ ages are properly verified at the time of purchase. The court acknowledged the concerns raised in the petition and asked the government to respond.
