ABDL has launched a new blended malt scotch as part of its efforts to expand its luxury drinks collection. This new addition is aimed at catering to high-end customers looking for premium quality spirits.

Allied Blenders and Distillers Limited (ABDL) has launched ARTHAUS Blended Malt Scotch Whisky as part of its strategy to expand its luxury drinks range. The premium whisky debuted in Mumbai and is set to roll out in 10 major markets across India by the end of December.

Alok Gupta, Managing Director of ABDL, emphasized that ARTHAUS is a key part of their plan to enter the luxury segment, offering consumers a high-quality blended malt crafted from some of the finest single malts. This launch is part of the company’s broader effort to build a higher-margin, premium portfolio, which already includes Zoya Special Batch Gin and the recently announced Russian Standard Vodka. Gupta also mentioned that ABDL plans to introduce two to three more luxury brands in the near future.

The ARTHAUS Blended Malt Scotch Whisky is priced at ₹4,800 for a 750ml bottle. It is initially available in Mumbai and Pune, with plans to expand to other markets such as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra, Goa, and Karnataka by November. By December, it will be sold in 10 markets, including Chandigarh.

ABDL is also working on releasing limited-edition variants of ARTHAUS within the next three to six months and is considering entering the duty-free market and exploring export opportunities. Last year, ABDL expanded its presence from 14 to 22 countries.

In terms of performance, ABDL ranks as India’s third-largest spirits company by sales volume, with a portfolio that spans whisky, brandy, rum, vodka, and gin. The company’s revenue for Q2FY25 was ₹2,031 crore, with a profit after tax of ₹48 crore. ABDL sold 8.3 million cases during the quarter.

The company’s shares closed up 2.91% at ₹330.85.
