Get Ready for Goa’s First Brezelfest: A German Celebration of Food, Beer, and Music
This November 7, Goa will host its very first Brezelfest, bringing a slice of German culture to South Goa. Inspired by the famous Oktoberfest, Brezelfest Goa 2024 will offer visitors a chance to enjoy authentic German food, craft beers, live music, and fun workshops.
Attendees can indulge in classic German dishes like pretzels, bratwurst, and schnitzel, paired with 600 litres of Munich Helles and 300 litres of German Pilsner from Seven Rivers Brewing Co. The event will also feature live performances by the Die Kirchdorfer Oktoberfest Band from Munich, setting the perfect festive atmosphere.
In addition to the food and music, the festival will host creative workshops on crochet, block printing, crafts, and essential oils. The event was conceptualized by three women entrepreneurs from South Goa—Andrea Thumshirn (a baker), Ragini Dhingra (an artist), and Yogita Mehra (a gardener)—who wanted to create a cultural bridge between Goa and Germany through art, food, and beer.
Tickets start at INR 450, with a special INR 650 ticket that includes one beer. It’s a perfect opportunity to experience a unique blend of Goan and German traditions in the party capital of India.
