Mumbai: Ravi S. Deol, a London-based entrepreneur known for founding India’s first national coffee chain, Barista, in the late 1990s, is reportedly a strong candidate to buy Imperial Blue, India’s third-largest whiskey brand. The brand is currently owned by French drinks company Pernod Ricard. Deol’s company, Inbrew Beverages, has been actively expanding over the past four years, acquiring 30 mass spirits brands from Diageo and the beer portfolio from Molson Coors.
