Bhubaneswar, Aug 31: Good news for those who enjoy a drink at celebrations in Odisha! The new excise policy allows people to legally serve liquor at domestic events like weddings and birthday parties.
To do this, you’ll need to apply for a ‘One-Day Temporary On License,’ which will let you include alcohol in your event. The cost of this license varies based on the number of guests you’re hosting:
- Rs 3,000 for up to 25 guests
- Rs 5,000 for 26 to 100 guests
- Rs 10,000 for 101 to 200 guests
- Rs 15,000 for 201 to 500 guests
- Rs 20,000 for 501 to 1,000 guests
- Rs 25,000 for more than 1,000 guests
So, if you’re planning a large gathering, you can now make it a bit more festive with a drink, as long as you secure the proper permit.
