Ludhiana: Excise department Ludhiana has conducted a big operation at the banks of Sutlej river on Friday — raids were conducted at two places and an area of 16km was covered. During the action, the department recovered 52,000 litres of Lahan, which was seized and destroyed by the department.
Shivani Gupta, assistant commissioner (excise) Ludhiana range, said, “First raid was conducted at Talwandi Kul Gehna village where our teams recovered nearly 35,000 litres lahan. In the second operation, teams searched a location in Gorshian village where they recovered approximately 17,000 litres lahan which was immediately destroyed too.”
