Indore: Indore excise department, on the last day of allotting tenders for its remaining 16 groups of 44 liquor shops, on Thursday received bids for 15 groups but as the same are below the base price, the state government will now take the decision to dispose it off.
According to Indore assistant excise commissioner Raj
Narayan Soni, there are a total 173 liquor shops in Indore, which have been divided into 64 groups while the state government was expecting to generate around Rs 1,350 Crores of revenue by allotting tenders of these liquor shops for 2022-23 financial year.
“So far, we have allotted tenders for 48 groups of 129 liquor shops while on the remaining 16 groups of 44 liquor shops, we received bids on 15 groups” he said, adding that the proposals, which are below the base price of around Rs 400 Crore, have been sent to the state government to take the final decision.
“We have invited tenders for the remaining one group of liquor shops on Friday” Soni said. TNN
